Quick updates of January and February!!

So first of all my Aunt Karen came to Idaho for a visit! We had so much fun! I just love her to death and can't wait to make a trip to Arizona to see her oh and yes model for her for some paintings she is doing! I love you My Beautiful Aunt Karen! Miss You!!

See these adorable, fun, bright, spunky scrubs! I am no longer allowed to wear them at work. That's right!! The hospital has gone to standardized scrubs!! Navy blue scrubs and a HUGE! EIRMC logo on the chest. Not my idea of fun, but o-well, come what may as long as I still have a job. I hope to cutify the plain navy scrubs soon!

Kaython got an academic award at school for Reading and Math! They were able to pick to two first graders for this award and he was one of the two. He is one if not the top reader in his class and he is VERY good at math! He is such a smart boy! I am such a proud Mama!

We got to go stay a weekend with my family at Tammie's cabin. We had SO much fun playing in the snow, eating treats, sledding, eating yummy dinners, sledding off the roof of the cabin, eating some more, playing cards late at night, eating lots of treats, and just hanging out together! What a blast. We always love going up to the cabin. Thank you Tammie!!!

I took my State Boards for my RN. This is me coming out of the building after taking them. When I went in there, there was no snow, less than an hour later and look at all this snow. So, we ended up going straight home rather than my original plan of going shopping afterwards. O-well. Do you see that worried look on my face...well you should; cause I was freaking out I had failed. I knew either I passed or I failed miserably. Anyways, long story short...I PASSED!!! I am now working as a Registered Nurse. I love it. It feels SO good to have finally accomplished it! Only now, I'm already thinking about doing my Bachelor's this fall. But we shall see what happens!

Utah Jazz Game!

Brandon got tickets from Melaleuca for a Jazz game and he took me with him! It was SO fun! We only had five minutes to decide if we wanted the tickets or not so we decided to take them and we had to be on the road in less than an hour so I hung up with Brandon, called to see if my Mom could keep Kelton, (she said yes) I ran Kelton up to Rexburg. In the meantime, Brandon got Kaython picked up from school and met me at our house, we ran and dropped him off at Brandon's sister Nicole's and we were on our way with two tickets for a dinner and the game and nice parking tickets, (we parked right at the building the game was in, well we had to walk across the street). We had a such a fun night! Our seats were on the front row, right down from the players and the coaches! It was so freaking awesome!!!

Tickets in hand and on our way!!

Sitting right down from the team!

Here we are! Enjoying the game!

It was so fun, we had people texting us during the game saying that they could see us on t.v. as they were watching the game that night.
I am so glad I got to spend the night doing something extraordinary with the hubby!
It was a good time! Thank You Melaleuca!!

Remembering Jeremy

January 22, 2011

I can hardly believe it's been a year since I lost my older brother Jeremy. I think of him and his family constantly and continue to pray for their comfort and understanding, as well as my own. Some days are easier than others, but I continue to find myself getting teary eyed at certain comments or memories of both him and my sister Crystal. I know I will see them both some day again, and as fast as time goes by, I am certain it will be sooner than later!

So, as for this post...on January 22nd Kris invited us all out to the cemetery to write messages on balloons and let them fly to heaven or to him. It was a neat experience and I am thankful that Kris would invite us to be part of it. She then served us hot chocolate and cupcakes. It was a bitter sweet moment; thinking that only a year ago I was writing his name in the sand on the beach of Hawaii.

Kelton showing his yellow balloon that
the Parkinson's gave him!

Kelton did not want to let go of his balloon!

And off they go; with a "We love you Jeremy!!

Jeremy, You are still in our hearts and You will continue to be! We miss you!
We love you! And we look forward to the day we see again!
