Family Pictures

Family Pics
August 16, 2010

At the last minute we decided to do family pictures! I had gone last week to take some of my sister Sandra and my friend Amy and decided they were so cute my family needed some. So, I yanked and pulled and begged my sister and her hubby (Sandra and Brandon) into coming and taking our pics for us. Unfortunately, they went ahead of us with my brother Robert and his wife Melissa and started taking their pictures up higher in the mountains with a gorgeous background of rolling hills (where we had planned to go), well, the farmer came up and saw them in his wheat field. He stopped and made them get out because they were "knocking the grain off the heads". So, we met them down further and ended up doing our pics here. I still think the background is beautiful because the clouds were low, and so bright and puffy and then as the sun began to set the sky behind us turned a bright red. The wind was blowing like crazy so I was constantly pulling hair out of my face and off my lips where it kept sticking to my chap stick. We did not have much time as it was getting dark very fast, but we did happen to get a few good ones. And we were lucky because most of the farmers started harvesting their fields that day and by now I am sure you would not be able to find a wheat field anywhere close by. Maybe a straw field but not a wheat field!!

Thank you for standing by and encouraging me through school! Thank you for adopting Kaython and giving me Kelton and for being such and amazing Daddy to our two little guys! Thank you for your support as I go to work each night and thank you for not griping about having to keep the boys and getting up with them during the night while I am gone. Thank you for making me smile, laugh, and letting me be me! Thank you for your kind words and compliments. But most of thank you for being such a wonderful husband! I love you Brandon J. Bowcutt!!

Water Boy!!

Kelton loves water!! He sees water and within a few seconds he's in it!! The other day the neighbors had watered their lawn and had a small puddle at the end of their drive way. Kelton was immediately attracted to it and just sat there and threw little pebbles into the puddle. He would have been entertained for hours if I would have allowed him, but it's too scary for me to let him sit in someone Else's driveway, for fear he could get hit by a car. So, I snapped a few shots and took him inside to play in the bath tub. The bath tub was not near as fun for him as the mucky puddle was.

Cute Little Stinker, huh!?!
It's amazing how you can love someone so small so much!!
I just love this little guy, even as mischievous as he can be!

Any Husbands Idea of A HOT Date...

On Tuesday, Brandon surprised me by taking half the day off of work to take me on a hot date. Just the two of us!!! My sister Tammie (once again) kept the kids for us and we went with our friends Nate and Daphne out on the river in Nate's parents' boat to go fishing. Our anniversary is on August 12 and I work pretty much every weekend night for the rest of the month except two Saturdays. The first Saturday Brandon will be out of town for convention for his work and the second Saturday is Kelton's birthday. So, pretty much our anniversary this year is going to be a flop. We decided that this "hot" date he planned was going to be our anniversary date. At first, I was a little sad, a little disappointed, and a little angry at myself for not requesting at least one weekend off, but in the end it turned out to be really fun. More than that, it was really relaxing. We really enjoy spending time with Nate and Daphne, it's never stressful! Luckily, I remembered the camera so I could snap a few pics of our hot date:

Here we are!! Headed up on the river!
Look at the background, it was so beautiful up there!

Nate and Daphne; Cute couple!!

Look what I caught!!
For a second I thought I really did catch a fish; turns out it was just a stick!
That's usually how I roll with the whole fishing thing, catch everything but a fish!

Technically, Brandon caught this,
but I reeled it all the way in so that means it was my catch, right!?!

Thank you SO much for the HOT date babe!!!
I enjoyed it very much!! Love Ya!!

At The Zoo!!

At the ZOO!!

So my bestest friend in the whole world came to Idaho last week. Emily lives in South Dakota right now so I don't get to see her very often. While she was here everyone was fighting over getting to see them and so I did not get to spend much time with her. However, I did manage to get to spend an afternoon with her, her sister Sandelle, and all of our kiddos at the zoo. We had a really good time watching the kids' excitement and catching up a bit. Man!! I just love that girl!!

As you can see through the pictures we all had a REALLY good time!! Though, I wish I could have spent more time with her I am so happy that we at least got to spend a little time together, and besides, it just gives me a good excuse to have to go South Dakota!! ;)
