Kaython Turns Six!!

Kaython's Sixth Birthday!!

Kaython turned six years old on the 18th!! He had a very fun filled, busy day. He got up and opened his gifts before his Dad had to go to work.Then, we let him invite a few friends and we took them to the Edward's Theater to see Toy Story 3 in 3D! Then we went camping with my parents and some of my brother's and sister's. What a FUN day it was!!

We went to McDonald's after the movie and got the Kid's an ice cream cone while Kaython opened his Birthday gifts! He got lots of cute and fun gifts!

The other day I thought Kelton could behave for 10 minutes while I hopped into the shower. To my sad dismay this is what I walked into when I got out of the shower:

The little stinker found the Comet cleaner. Pulled the bottom off and persisted to play in it!

I guess I should just be thankful he didn't get any in his mouth or eyes!! And my kitchen floor got REALLY clean!

Candle Holders

We (I made my hubby help) made these adorable candle holders for my Mother-in-law for Mother's Day this year! I found them on a blog called Drab to Fab. They were super easy to make and turned out SO cute! I think they were well liked.

Yes, these pics were taken outside because I had just stained them and as soon as the stain dried they were going in the trunk to take to the recipient of them!!

Now it's time to get my set done. Can't wait to display mine!!

I know it's late, but I hope all you Mommies out there had a most Fabulous Mother's Day EVER!!

Meet my cute niece Taylee!!! On this specific day, I called my sister Sandra up and told her she needed to bring Baby Taylee to I.F. so I could take her to get her ears pierced. Without hesitation she said OK. 45 minutes later we met at the mall and I paid for Taylee to get her ears pierced, but I made her mom be the mean guy and hold her! They turned out SO stinking CUTE!! Sorry to make you learn at such a young age Taylee, but sometimes beauty hurts (hehee, just kidding). But you were so brave and strong and only cried for a few seconds. That's my girl!!

I have to admit....I sure do have some of the cutest boys EVER!! I just love them so much and I really hope Brandon likes his new picture for his desk!! I'll have to get back with you to show you what else we did for him for Father's Day!! (I can't tell right now, it's a secret)

Four-Wheeling and Dirt-Biking!!

So here are the Pictures from last weekend. Yes, I know I am a week slow getting them up, but life has been crazy busy around here!!! We went four-wheeling and dirt-biking with my brother Mitch, his girlfriend and her two girls and my sister Anna, her husband Tony and their three kids. We went to some mountains up above Lehi, Utah. We had such a freakin' blast!!! It was really nice to get to spend the weekend with my brother and sister that live in Utah that I don't get to see too often.

A Preview of What is About to Come!!

A few weeks ago we went to "Earth Day" at the Tauphus Park and the boys fell in love with little machines. Kaython got to ride the battery powered one which teaches them the proper way to lean and steer when riding/driving a four-wheeler. The little guys got to ride on a smaller 4-wheeler that was just sitting there!! This Saturday we are leaving to go to Utah as soon as I get off work to go 4-wheeling my brother Mitch and his family and my sister Anna and her family. I am so excited; I can hardly wait!!!

Time to Catch Up!!

YES!! Its about time I catch up!! Man! What a depressing year it started out to be, but things are starting to look up! So, In December, my mom went to the Emergency Room with some pretty strong chest pain. She had blood clots in her lungs a.k.a pulmonary embolisms. They found that she had a hole in her heart. So, in January she had that hole repaired. During surgery her heart went into A-fib so they had to shock her. How scary!!

Not more than a couple weeks later I got a horrible phone call from my brother Mitch. He had told me that my brother Jeremy had been in a really bad accident but he wasn't sure how bad and had asked me to call all my other brother's and sister's. Now that was hard to be the bearer of bad news. Long story short, I ended up flying to Hawaii with my sister Tammie and her husband Zack to see him. My Mom and Dad and his wife Kris and her sister were able to get an earlier flight and they got there a few hours before us. But, He was legally called dead about an hour before I and my sister got to the hospital. But it was there that the decision was made to donate his organs. We did what is called a referred donation and wished for his liver to go to a guy in Rexburg that we knew needed a new liver. There was a news story from Salt Lake that sums up the story well.

Bottom line, as much as I miss my brother and wish he was still alive, He his a hero..he saved one life and gave two others a better quality of life and prolonged lifetime.

As sad as it was I am so thankful for all the love and support that shown to me and my family. I thank everyone SO very much and I hope you all know that it was very much appreciated.

So, For the good news.... On February 9th Brandon was finally able to adopt Kaython!! Wahoooo!! Somewhere he had some pics of that special day. The hard drive went out in my laptop and it was probably on there and now lost. That would be my luck! If I find them, I'll post them later!

We went on a steel head fishing trip with Brandon at the end of March! It was way fun! We went with his friends Nate and Daphne and their kids Payton and Wyatt. It was fun to get to chat and catch up with Daphne and the kids got along so well and they all had so much fun!! Thanks for letting us crash in your camp trailer; we were very appreciative!

I'm still working towards my RN. I will be done in December and I cannot wait!! These are the girls I mostly study with: Amy and Deb. They are both so FREAKING smart and they are both such way awesome nurses. I hope some day I will be half as good of a nurse as they are!

Easter!! We celebrated Easter on Saturday at my Parent's house but because there was too much snow we couldn't do an Easter egg hunt so my mom made the grandkids these really cute bags and filled them with goodies.

Easter morning the boys woke up to sand buckets as their Easter baskets and got to have an Easter egg hunt in the house! The Easter Bunny knows how spoiled they are and so he kept it pretty simple this year, which is exactly how we wanted it. We wanted them to realize and know that Easter is not about the basket and toys, it's about Christ!

We had dinner that at our house with all of Brandon's brothers and sister and their families. Overall, it was a great Easter and I am so thankful for the meaning of it!

We had a great surprise when my grandma that lives in Maine said she was coming out to visit! My Grandma Ruth came for two weeks. It was so good to see her again and to get to visit with her. It had been 5 years since I saw her last and it's very difficult to see her living clear across the states! She is an amazing person and I just love her so much and I am thankful she has been in my life!

Other than that, not much else has been going on other than school, work, Kaython's singing lessons and chasing Kelton. Mother's day was awesome. We actually celebrated it with Brandon's family a week early cause his Mom was going to be out of town. My mom and dad left to go to Maryland to see my dad's mom and dad so the girls just took my mom out to lunch on Wednesday. It was a good time! Anyways thanks for reading and sorry it took so long to post again. It's been hard with working full time and going to school full time. Ta-ta for now!!
